BlackBird Surfboards Peregrine Model
More from BlackBird Surfboards
The Peregrine model by designer/shaper Tim Crozier of BlackBird Surfboards is built for the transitional step between “dads” board and the full performance thruster a grom will land on next. This is the ideal step up board for a young surfer to go to the next level. Make no mistake, performance is NOT sacrificed in this board. It has lower rockers for easy entry into the wave while the parallel outline through the midsection creates drive and speed. The wing and round-pin allow for quick release and rail to rail transition. The Peregrine is fitted with a five fin set up underneath so groms can feel the speed and looseness of a quad, or the power and release of a thruster. The board world well in beach breaks and point breaks alike and can handle waves in the knee high to overhead range. The Peregrine also can be ordered for older surfers who want a versatile shape for all around surf conditions. As the Peregrine gets longer it becomes a great alternative shape that handles a variety of surf conditions. Tim recommends the Futures five fin box with F2 fins and QD2 trailer fins. This board can be also be ordered with an FCS fin box. Fins are not included. The board comes standard with a sanded finish with 4 ounce bottom glass and double 4 ounce deck. The Peregrine by BlackBird is designed, hand finished and signed by Tim Crozier in Encinitas, CA. Groundswell Supply surfboards are custom made and are prepaid at time of order. Fins are sold separately. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Oversize shipping fee applies see cost at checkout for your area.
